Top Moments of 2018-19: Women's Cross Country Takes the Cake at the Mariner Invitational

BANGOR, Maine - On September 9th, the Husson women's cross country team brought home first place from the Mariner Inviational to "take the cake." The Eagles posted an impressive three top-ten times for an overall team total of 42 points, edging out UMaine-Farmington by just one point.

Junior Julia Glisson kicked it in high gear for the final stretch to snatch second place by 0.3 tenths of a second finishing with the best 5k time of the day (21:48.7), pacing a 7:02 mile. Capturing the other top-ten finishes, junior Lindsey Joliat rocked a 7:08 average mile, just milliseconds behind the fourth place runner to duck in at 22:07 (5th). Crossing the finish line pacing the average team time of 22:44 for Husson, freshman Isabelle Jackson took 9th overall. 

With impressive top-20 times to round out the scorers, freshmen Emily Banks and Renee Dostal earned 11th and 15th place finishing with times of 23:15 and 23:46.
