    NEW ORLEANS, La. - Both the Husson University women's and men's cross country teams were named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2019 NCAA Division III All-Academic Teams. The women achieved this spotlight for the eighth-straight season while the men earned a spot on the All-Academic Team for the fourth-consecutive year and fifth time overall.

    The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) is proud to announce that 177 student athletes representing twelve institutions and seven sports have been named to the Fall 2019 All-Academic Team. This marks the most student athletes to receive All-Academic Team honors since the fall of 2017.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine – Taking on 53 scoring teams and over 380 runners, the Husson women placed 42nd overall at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Cross Country Championship, posting a team average time of 26:09. The Eagles earned the second-best place on the day out of all North Atlantic Conference (NAC) schools competing, just two spots behind the University of Maine-Farmington.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Husson University collected three first-place votes and 74 points for a very close second-place prediction, following SUNY Delhi in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Pre-Championship Coaches Poll. The Broncos are poised to make an impact on the NAC Women's Cross Country Championship in their first membership year. SUNY Delhi received five first-place votes and 75 points to top the Poll.  The 2018 Champions of UMaine-Farmington picked up the remaining first-place vote and 65 points for third place in the poll.
  • Goodwin's First Place Time Helps Husson Women Win Third Meet of Season

    WATERVILLE, Maine – After many top-five performances in her rookie season, Payton Goodwin finally achieved first place out of all runners as the Eagles took the cake at the Thomas Invitational on Friday afternoon. Beating out 23 other competitors in the two-team meet against the University of Southern Maine, Goodwin paced a 21:36.3 time in the 5K to help achieve a team-low score of 19 points as the Eagles nearly swept the top-five spots.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - For the third time this season, first-year Payton Goodwin has been commended by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) for her athletic prowess by being named Rookie of the Week for women's cross country. Fellow classmate Voldivain Mboma received the same rookie title by the NAC for the first time in his career to help Husson complete the sweep of NAC Rookie of the Weeks for cross country.

    WATERVILLE, Maine – Husson women’s cross country saw their top-five scoring runners finish in the top 50 out of over 150 competitors attending the Maine State Championship on Saturday. The Eagles snatched 6th overall as a team with a cumulative 189 points and an average time of 22:55 in the 5K.

Payton Goowdin also achieved her second NAC Rookie of the Week recognition this season while sweeping the women's cross country awards by also being named the NAC Runner of the Week.

    BANGOR, Maine – The Eagles hosted their one home meet of the season on Saturday, welcoming two teams and some unattached players to compete in the 5K at Saxl Park. Despite being a drizzling overcast day for a run in the park, the Husson women had something to celebrate as they took first place with five runners achieving top-ten times for a team score of 32 points.
