  • Eagles Leave New York Empty-handed with a Pair of Conference Losses

    DELHI, N.Y. - The Husson University women's volleyball team hit the road this weekend for some conference action playing two matches at the Floyd L Maines Arena against SUNY Canton and SUNY Delhi. The Eagles dropped both matches this afternoon to the Roos and Broncos, 3-1. 
  • Nor'easters Hit Hard on Home Court Sweeping the Eagles

    BIDDEFORD, Maine - Husson University women’s volleyball (4-19) was swept up by the Nor’easter tonight, dropping a 3-0 match to the University of New England (14-2) at the Harold Alfond Forum. The Eagles did not make the contest an easy one, staying close to the Nor’easters consistently throughout all three sets.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Husson University women's volleyball team traveled to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this weekend to play in a tri-match against the Mount Holyoke College Lyons and the MIT Engineers. The Eagles showed impressive offensive efforts throughout the day, but were not able to pull ahead of the Lyons or Engineers. Husson dropped both matches, each 3-0.

    PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The Husson University Eagles (4-14) were back in action on Saturday, dropping a pair of matches at Foley Gym.  Both matches finished up with the final score of 3-1, as the UMass Dartmouth Corsairs and the Plymouth State University Panthers took a pair of wins from the Eagles.

    STANDISH, Maine - The Eagles had a long day between two sets that were pushed beyond 25 points and five sets on the day that were won by a mere two points. Despite the back-and-forth trade of points, the Husson women's volleyball came up short in two matches to Colby-Sawyer College and Saint Joseph's College (Maine) on Saturday afternoon in a tri-match hosted by the Monks.

    CASTINE, Maine - The Husson University women’s volleyball team traveled to compete in Smith Gymnasium on Wednesday night facing off against the Maine Maritime Academy Mariners. The Eagles dropped three-straight sets to the Mariners in a non-conference matchup, but put up a tough fight in the final set nearly overcoming MMA.

    MILTON, Mass. - The Husson University women's volleyball team hit the road this weekend playing two matches at Curry College, facing off against the Colonels and the Emmanuel College (Mass.) Saints. The Eagles dropped their first match to the Saints, 3-0, and followed up with a tough fight versus the Colonels resulting in a fifth deciding set before Husson fell behind, 3-2.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Following a busy weekend for both the Husson women's volleyball team at home and the women's tennis team on the road, Hanna Hembrow grabbed her first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Defensive Player of the Week for her overall outstanding performance in four matches and Jocelyn Bell achieved Player of the Week for the first time in her career after helping shut down two conference opponents. 
  • Husson Volleyball Splits Weekend Hosting Four Teams for the Husson Eagles Classic

    BANGOR, Maine - The Husson women’s volleyball team hosted their first Husson Eagles Classic on Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th in Newman Gym, welcoming four teams to compete in the double court marathon of matches.  Following four competitions against SUNY Plattsburgh, Bates College, Curry College, and Saint Joseph’s College (Maine), Husson came out with a pair of losses on Friday evening, but closed out Saturday with two big wins, including - Husson Head Coach Pat DeBeck’s 200th career victory and the Eagles’ first triumph over the Monks since 2008.

Despite winning the first set of the day on Friday, the Eagles dropped both matches to Bard College and the host of the tournament, the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs.

    BANGOR, Maine - On Saturday, September 15th, Husson women's volleyball junior Hanna Hembrow set up her 1,000th career assist against Keene State University to become the fourth player in program history to achieve this feat. 
  • Husson Volleyball Hitting High Marks as a Recipient of the 2018-19 AVCA Team Academic Award

    LEXINGTON, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced on Monday that 1,126 teams have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2018-2019 season. This number breaks the previous year's total of 977 to set an all-time high. This marks the third time in program history that Husson women's volleyball has achieved recognition for their academic excellence by the AVCA and the first time since the 2012 team.
