    BANGOR, Maine – Hosting four matches in Newman Gym on Saturday, the Husson University volleyball team (5-18, 2-3 NAC) was the only team to take a match to four sets battling the University of Maine at Fort Kent (24-5) while also contending within four points against the University of Maine at Presque Isle (10-15, 3-1 NAC) in all three sets. The Eagles hosted their senior day for the lone senior of the 2018 season, Kate Woods, who accumulated 14 kills, two aces, and 34 digs by the end of the day.

    LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Falling just shy of capturing the first set of the day, 25-22, Husson women’s volleyball dominated the court in the second set (25-12) and never looked back as they took down Northern Vermont-Johnson (9-7, 0-1 NAC) in four sets on Saturday morning in their first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchup of the season. Continuing on this momentum, the Eagles (5-2, 2-0 NAC) were relentless on the attack barely giving up any points in the first set against Northern Vermont-Lyndon, 25-3, as they cruised to a three-set victory over the Hornets (0-16, 0-2 NAC) later in the afternoon.

    BANGOR, Maine – The Eagles (1-7) were committed to a comeback on Wednesday night in Newman Gym as they stood tall against Southern Maine University (7-4). After nearly overtaking the Huskies in the first set, falling just shy (22-25), the Eagles bounced back in the third set with a vengeance taking a clear lead from the start to win the set 25-21.  Unfortunately, despite a late attempt to catch up with the Huskies in the fourth and final set, Southern Maine finished it off taking the 3-1 victory.
