DAVIE, Fla. – Traveling to warmer weather over spring break, the Husson women's outdoor track & field team competed at the Shark Invitational hosted by Nova Southeastern University. Six Eagles finished in the top six in individual events while the 4x400-meter relay team brought home eight points to help tally 45.5 points overall as they took fourth at the invite.
Megan Bataran was the lone Eagle to place in two individual events in the field as she moved up to third in the HU program records with a personal best throw of 41.38 meters with the hammer. She then went into shot put with a 10.38-meter toss to once again take fourth.
Leah Desjardins and Allison Kondracki grabbed fifth in their events. In the field, Kondracki jumped 9.95 meters in the triple while Desjardins sped down the track to a time of 26.53 seconds in the 200-meter dash. Kondracki also competed on the track, running the third leg of the second place 4x400-meter relay team. Bree Sautter, Emily Banks, and Julia Glisson flew down the track along with teammate Kondracki to achieve a 4:32.86 time in the relay.
The women return to the track on Friday, March 15th to compete at the Hurricane Invitational hosted by the University of Miami in Florida.
