  • Husson Athletics Congratulates Frank Fazzino on his New Coaching Role

    BANGOR, Maine - After working as the throws coach and strength and conditioning coach for both the indoor and outdoor men's and women's track & field programs over the past two years, Frank Fazzino will be entering his third year at Husson University as the associate head coach for six programs. He will continue working primarily with the throwers in all four track & field programs, but Fazzino will also enter into a new role working with the men's and women's cross country teams as the associate head coach alongside head coach Kate Goupee.
  • 35 Eagles Land a Spot on the 2018-19 NAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team

    WATERVILLE, Maine - The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) is proud to announce that 138 student-athletes have earned a spot on the 2018-19 Winter and Spring All-Academic Team. Husson athletics landed 35 student-athletes on the NAC All-Academic Squad this year. 
  • 16 Eagles Recognized on Women's T&F NAC All-Conference Team

    WATERVILLE, Maine - North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Track & Field programs competed in a multi-conference championship event Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 on the campus of Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) also participated. Each conference crowned their own Men's and Women's Team Champions. An overall Combined Team Champion for each gender was awarded for the team that accumulated the most points across all three conferences. SUNY Delhi won both titles for men and women.
  • Desjardins Sets School Record in 100-Meter Dash to Lead Husson Women's T&F at New England's

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Cayd Wortman became the first Eagle in program history to finish as the runner-up in an event at the New England Division III Championship, representing Husson outdoor track & field. Competing in the decathlon for just the second time in his career after his qualifying performance earlier in the season, Wortman set six personal records in ten events to help Husson bring home a 22nd spot with 10 points out of over 40 men's outdoor track & field teams competing at Williams College.

    WESTON, Mass. – Capturing a clear second place finish, just 27 points behind SUNY Delhi in first, the Husson women’s outdoor track & field program put on a strong performance at the 2019 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship as they accumulated 226 points as a team. Out of all schools competing at Regis College this past weekend, including schools from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), the Husson ladies took fifth place overall.

    WATERVILLE, Maine – Setting new personal records all day long, the Husson women’s outdoor track & field squad finished the Thomas (Maine) Small School Invitational in third with 74 points out of nine schools that scored. 
  • Two More Women's T&F Student-Athletes Qualify for New England DIII Championship at SNHU

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – Competing against over 35 other teams, the Husson women’s outdoor track & field squad shared a four-way tie for 17th with six Eagles scoring for a total of 10 points as a team. Two more Eagles will be traveling to the New England Division III Championship after their performances at the 2nd Annual Penman Relays on Saturday. 
  • Women's Outdoor T&F Battles for Fourth Place at the Regis Spring Classic

    WESTON, Mass. – Finishing within 15.5 points of the top-three teams, the Husson women’s track & field team took fourth at the Regis Spring Classic on Friday, accumulating 104.5 points with Allison Kondracki snagging the lone win of the day for the Eagles in the 400-meter hurdles. 
  • Eagles Finish Off Spring Break in Florida Competing in Hurricane Invitational

    MIAMI, Fla. – The Eagles invaded the home of the Hurricanes on Friday and Saturday as they finished off their spring break road trip in Florida competing against several Division I opponents in a non-scoring meet hosted by the University of Miami. Five women’s track & field student-athletes achieved top-twenty performances in the field at the Hurricane Invitational. 
  • Women's T&F Take Fourth at Shark Invitational in Florida

    DAVIE, Fla. – Traveling to warmer weather over spring break, the Husson women’s outdoor track & field team competed at the Shark Invitational hosted by Nova Southeastern University. Six Eagles finished in the top six in individual events while the 4x400-meter relay team brought home eight points to help tally 45.5 points overall as they took fourth at the invite.
