Husson Indoor T&F Sends 12 Eagles to Division III New England Championship

BANGOR, Maine – The Husson men's indoor track & field team will be sending five student-athletes to Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vt. for the men's New England Division III Championship, while the women's indoor track & field team will be sending seven student-athletes to Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. women's New England (NE) Division III Championship.

Eric Hathaway, who is ranked 12th in the shot put and 27th in the weight throw, will be attending his second New England Championship meet. Hathaway previously earned All-New England in outdoor track & field.

Robenson Saintard is currently ranked 19th in the 60-meter dash and 46th in the 200-meter dash. This is the first time Saintard has competed at the collegiate level in track & field, thus his first New England Championship meet.

Francesco Wright, the 23rd ranked pole vaulter, is competing in his second straight NE Championship meet.

Dominick Lizotte is ranked 17th in the pole vault. The true freshmen going to first NE Championship meet.

Ranked 38th in the 60-meter hurdles, Cayd Wortman, who is a true freshmen, is going to first NE Championship meet.

Faith Burnett, who is currently ranked 26th in the shot put and 24th in the weight toss, will be attending her fourth straight NE Championship meet.

Leah Desjardins is currently ranked 23rd in the 60-meter dash and 33rd in the 200-meter dash. Her third straight NE Championship meet, Desjardins will also be the anchor leg for the 4x200 relay.

Issy Capozzi is ranked 22nd in the shot put. The true freshmen is going to her first NE Championship meet.

The 4x200 relay order is Shea Curley, Tamara Rodriguez, Adreona Daniels, and Leah Desjardins. The relay team is currently ranked 18th in the NE. Curley, Rodriguez and Desjardins will all be competing in their second indoor track & field NE meet.

The New England DIII Championship will take place this weekend, February 16-17.
