ORONO, Maine – The Husson women's indoor track & field team was invited to compete in the UMaine Invitational. The University of Maine and New Hampshire were at the meet. It was the first time Husson has been invited to the UMaine Invitational. While setting multiple new personal records, the Eagles finished in third place with 43 total points.
Starting off the day, Megan Bataran set a new personal recording while finishing in fifth-place in the weight throw (12.06 m). In the shot put, she claimed a fifth-place finish (10.09 m). Also in the shot put, Isabella Capozzi finished third with a distance of 11.00 meters.
Allison Kondracki and Jordan Durant each had tremendous days in the long jump and triple jump. Kondracki set a new personal record in the long jump with a distance of 4.77 meters and set a new school and personal record in the triple jump with a distance of 10.16 meters. Durant claimed a sixth-place finish in the long jump (4.62 m) and set a new personal record in the triple jump with grabbed the fifth-place spot (9.94 m).
Competing in the high jump, Lisa Pawlowski cleared 1.42 meters and earned a second-place nod.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Isabella Comeau set a new personal record while finishing second (11.31).
Morgan Clifford rounded out the personal records with a third-place finish in the 1,000-meter (3:33.63).
Finishing up the day for the Eagles was Leah Desjardins in the 200-meter. She grabbed a fourth-place finish with a time of 26.83.
Members of the women's indoor track and field team will travel to Springfield College on Friday, February 16 to compete in the Division III New England Championship.
