BANGOR, Maine - For the second-straight year, the Husson women's tennis team posted an undefeated conference record, making it all the way to the top. The Eagles swept nearly every match before earning the title of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division Women's Tennis Champions under two-time NAC Coach of the Year Josh Warren.
On October 6, 2019, the top-seeded Husson Eagles first defeated NVU-Lyndon in the NAC East Semifinals, 5-0, before also sweeping Lesley University, 5-0, in the championship round. After a very impressive performance by all, Natalie Tilton was named MVP of the tournament while her teammates, Marisa Brown and Jocelyn Bell, both earned spots on the All-Tournament Team, as well. The Eagles' awards didn't stop there. Ashley Matlock was named 2019 NAC Player of the Year while Bell achieved Senior Scholar Athlete.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the Husson women did not have the opportunity to continue competition into the Spring of 2020 in the Crossover Championship to take on the winner of the (NEAC) West Division and vie for a berth to the NCAA DIII Championship.
