  • Women's Tennis Falls to SUNY New Paltz in NCAA First Round

    FALMOUTH, Maine - The 2018 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Champion, Husson University, fell to SUNY New Paltz in a first round match of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis National Championship held at Foreside Racquet & Fitness. Originally located on the campus of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, the match was moved indoors due to inclement weather.

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Committee has selected the 49 teams that will compete in the 2019 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships. Husson will be traveling to Brunswick, Maine to battle SUNY New Paltz on either May 9th/10th in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship. The winner of the matchup between the Eagles and the Hawks will face the host school Bowdoin College in the second round.
  • Women's Tennis Dealt First Loss of the Season by Colby, 9-0

    WATERVILLE, Maine - The Husson (10-1) women’s tennis team suffered a tough road loss at Colby College (7-6) on Friday afternoon. It was a struggle to score all afternoon, as the Eagles were unable to come away with a victory, and fell to Colby by a final score of 9-0.

  • Eagles Capture First NAC Women's Tennis Title in Program History

    PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Finishing out the season undefeated, 10-0 (6-0 NAC), North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Coach of the Year Josh Warren led the Eagles to win the 2018 NAC Women’s Tennis Title for the first time in program history. Husson defeated Lesley College (3-8, 3-2 NAC) with a clean sweep in the final round of the NAC Championship Tournament. 
  • Five Eagles Recognized to NAC Women's Tennis All-Conference Team

    WATERVILLE, Maine – Five Eagles were recognized by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) after being named to the 2018 Women’s Tennis All-Conference Team. Freshman Ashley Matlock was highlighted as the NAC Rookie of the Year while Head Coach Josh Warren was awarded Coach of the Year. This year marks the most all-conference selections Husson women’s tennis has earned in a single season.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - With two wins on the court this past week, the Eagles grabbed the No. 1 seed for the 2018 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's tennis championship tournament. Making immense contributions on the court to preserve the Eagles undefeated season, senior Merdith Blessard earned the NAC Player of the Week in women's tennis for the second time this season and freshman Ashley Matlock achieved NAC Rookie of the Week for her first time.

    JOHNSON, Vt. – With their 9-0 victory over Northern Vermont University-Johnson, the Husson Eagles earned the No. 1 seed for the 2018 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's tennis championship tournament that will be held Saturday, October 6th at the Berkshire West Athletic Club in Pittsfield, Mass. The NAC preseason favorite, Husson closed out the regular season undefeated 8-0 (4-0 NAC), earning the top seed for the first time in program history.

    HAMPDEN, Maine – With an 8-1 victory over Lesley University (1-6, 1-1 NAC), the Husson women’s tennis team extended their winning streak and season record to 5-0 (2-0 NAC) as they tied the longest winning and undefeated streak in program history. With this win, the Eagles have also beat every single team in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) this season.

    BANGOR, Maine – Women’s tennis battled both visiting Thomas College (Maine) (0-7, 0-3 NAC) and a pesky rainstorm on Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles came out on top, beating the Terriers, 7-0, to improve their record to 4-0 while earning their first conference win. Unfortunately, the rain put an early stop to the final two singles matches.
