BANGOR, Maine - The Husson women's swim & dive team entered into Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship weekend predicted to finish fifth and proved everyone wrong by bringing home a program best third-place. On the way to third place, the Eagles shattered four HU program relay records.
Opening up day one of the three-day competition, the quartet of Ellie Clarke, Maddie Wing, Morgan Veilleux and Abby Ketch finished fifth in the 200 Free Relay for a new school record time of 1:45.71. Adding onto their points on day two, Clarke, Grinnell, Ava Emery, and Erin Aucoin worked together to shatter a HU school record that lasted ten years with their time of 4:25.05 in the 400 Medley Relay. Aucoin, Kletch, Clarke, and Veilleux wrapped up the GNAC Championship by setting the fourth new program record of the weekend in the 400 Free Relay with 3:52.50 mark.
