Sarett Caps Off Decorated HU Swimming Career at the 2018 ECAC Open Championship

New Brunswick, N.J. - Husson University senior Lara Sarett, who became the first Eagle swimmer in program history to swim in back-to-back-to-back Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Open Championships, competed in her final collegiate meet at the 2018 Championship meet at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center on the campus of Rutgers University on Saturday and Sunday.

The meet featured swimming & diving programs from NCAA Division I, II and III.

Sarett posted a time of 1:09.03 in her preliminary swim of the 100 Breast on Saturday, which was good for a 35th place finish in the event. On Sunday, swimming in her final race of her college career, Sarett finished 22nd in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:32.65 to close out the most decorated swimmer in program history's career.

U.S. Naval Academy took home the crown once again earning back-to-back titles with 584.50 points and the University of Pennsylvania earned the runner-up plaque with 402 points. Bucknell University (309), Marist College (304) and Columbia University (346) rounded out the top five.

This concludes the 2017-18 campaign for the Husson University women's swimming & diving team.
