KINGSTON, R.I. - The first day of the 2018 New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championship is complete and the Husson University women sit in 13th place through the first event.
The Eagles, who placed 15th overall, which was their best team finish in program history in last year's NEISDA championship, enter the second day with 28 points, slightly ahead of Western Connecticut State University, which sits in 14th with 26 points.
Simmons College leads the pack with 64 points while Roger Williams University (56),Eastern Connecticut State University (54), Keene State College (52) and Bridgewater State University (50) round out the top five.
- The quartet of Ashley Clark, Lara Sarett, Heidi Demers and Kassidy Harris combined to post a 13th place finish in the 800-Free Relay with a time of 9:05.69, an effort worth 28 points
Action resumes on Friday, February 16 at the Tootell Aquatic Center with the preliminary events starting at 10:00 a.m. and the finals kicking off at 6:00 p.m.
