TOP MOMENT OF 2019-20: Women's Soccer Clinches No. 2 Seed in Overtime Thriller, 1-0

BANGOR, Maine - The Husson women's soccer team had the fans holding their breath as a 0-0 deadlock with UMaine-Presque Isle went into overtime on October 29, 2019. In just under eight minutes of overtime, sophomore Shannon Dowd used her whole body to slide through the ball and over the goal line as she jumped on a lofty cross from Alexa Thayer to help the Eagles secure a crucial 1-0 victory on senior day. Dowd's golden goal game-winner helped Husson earn a first-round bye in the 2019 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Soccer Championship Tournament as the squad jumped straight into the Semfinal round as the No. 2 seed.

With the victory, Dowd accomplished her first game-winner as an Eagle and her fifth career goal in just her second season on the Husson women's soccer team.
