BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University women's soccer program is pleased to announce three more commitments for the 2018 season, Jaley Martin, a midfielder from Gray, Maine, Britney Bubar, a midfielder from Newport, Maine, and Britney Duchesneau, a defender from Wales, Maine.
Jaley Martin, from Gray-New Gloucester High School in Gray, Maine, was a four year varsity starter and a captain. She was named to the conference All-Academic team during her senior year.
In addition to soccer, she also ran indoor and outdoor track, qualifying for the state meets in all four years. Jaley was part of the 4x100 meter relay team that won the 2017 state championship.
The Gray, Maine native will study nursing at Husson University.
Britney Bubar, a midfielder from Nokomis Regional High, was a three year varsity starter and was a captain for her team during her senior year. During the 2017 season, she was named to the KVAC All-Academic Team. Britney will be entering the physical therapy program at Husson University in the fall of 2018.
Britney Duchesneau, a defender from Oak Hill High School, was a three year varsity player and received her first varsity action when she was called up during her sophomore year. Britney's high school team won the conference championship her junior year.
The Wales, Maine native plans to pursue a major in physical therapy at Husson.
The Eagles made a tremendous run in the conference tournament until it came to an end in the conference championship game in double-overtime to now conference champion Castleton University.
