John Bapst's Matija Mamula Commits to Husson for the 2018 Season

BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University women's soccer program is pleased to announce their second commitment for the 2018 season, Matija Mamula, a midfielder from Carmel, Maine.

Matija Mamula was a three year varsity player at John Bapst Memorial High School. In the 2017 season, she was named to the conference All-Academic team. Mamula has participated in many different programs throughout her playing career.  Her high school coaches describe her as "A student of the game as she exhibits constant physical and mental toughness".

In addition to soccer, Mamula was very involved in the robotics team, attending the 2017 Worlds Competition in Kentucky. Matija was raised in Carmel, Maine with her parents and four sisters. She will be pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy.

The Eagles made a tremendous run in the conference tournament until it came to an end in the conference championship game in double-overtime to now conference champion Castleton University.
