Husson Women's Golf Announces Taylor Burbo as the 2019-20 Eagle Award Winner

BANGOR, Maine - Husson University Athletics would like to take the months of May and June to recognize the 2019-20 Eagle Award winners who would have been honored at the annual Eagle Award Banquet.

The Eagle Award winners are named by the head coach and coaching staff. Each coach may only select one winner per team. This honor is presented to those student-athletes who stand out as exemplary teammates and show what it means to be a true "Husson Eagle."

The Husson Women's Golf Eagle Award winner of 2019-20 is Taylor Burbo

Head coach Mike Dugas has a few words he would like to share in honor of Taylor Burbo:

"Taylor has had an incredible senior season. Her play was the best it had been in four years and her academics were equally as good. It is truly a shame that we could not continue the season this Spring as it would have been fun to watch Taylor continue to grow as a player. I have enjoyed coaching Taylor and am proud to welcome her to the Eagle Award Club."

Burbo helped the Husson women's golf team capture their first-ever win at the 2019 Husson Invitational this past season with her score of 181. She also snagged a spot on the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Weekly Honor Roll in just the second week of competition of her senior year. Burbo led her squad at the Bates Invitational helping her team grab third place overall after carding a 184 (89-95) between the two rounds. Landing in the top-five following Day 1, the senior finished in a tie for eighth.

Congratulations to Husson Women's Golf 2019-20 Eagle Award winner – Taylor Burbo!
