BANGOR, Maine – Husson University women's golf team earned the program's first-ever tournament victory by capturing the team title with a 724 (365-359) card at the 2019 Husson Invitational at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course.
The Eagles claimed the team title by three stokes over Suffolk University (727, 371-356), while Rhode Island College finished third with a 825 (425-400).
Suffolk's Nicole Antonucci earned Medalist honors with a 164 (87-77) score.
FOR THE EAGLES:
- Katie Goulet tied for second with a 172 (85-87) card.
- Makenzie Plourde (97-84) and Taylor Burbo (88-93) shot 181's and tied for fifth.
- Veronica Diaz recorded at two-day score of 190 (95-95) and finished in 8th.
- Hailee Perkins placed 9th with a 194 (97-97).
The Eagles return to the links at the 2019 Northeast Women's Golf Conference Championship at the Colonie Golf & Country Club in Voorheesville, N.Y. on October 5-6.
