POLAND, Maine – Husson's Kelsie Dessent shot an 85 on Sunday and won the 2015 Bowdoin (Maine) Invitational with a two-day total of 168 (85-83). The Eagles team of four totaled a 988 (513-475).
Dessent was tied for first with Bates' Kelly Wasserman heading into Sunday after each player shot an 83 the day before, but Dessent was four strokes better on Sunday. Tori Jordan totaled a 199 (100-99). Tia Welch came up with a 336 (187-149). Hannah Fournier recorded a 285 (143-142).
Bates (Maine) won the title with a two-day total of 738 (366-372).
The Eagles will play in the Mount Holyoke (Mass.) Invitational Sept. 26-27 at Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass.
