Ellsworth's Trinity Montigny Commits to Another Four Years as an Eagle

BANGOR, Maine - Ellsworth High School star, Trinity Montigny, coached by Andy Pooler helped lead the Ellsworth Eagles to the school's second-best record in program history this past season. The 5' 6" senior guard averaged 17.4 points, 3.3 assists, 2.8 steals, and 3.5 rebounds a game.

This 1000-point scorer was named Big East Player of the Year and has been selected to the Big East First Team for three seasons. She concluded her high school career being named a 2020 McDonald's All-Star.

Husson women's basketball head coach Kissy Walker observes, "Trinity has the ability to knock down the outside shot, but can also penetrate to the hoop. She has great hustle and makes things happen."

Trinity is a model three-sport student-athlete, competing on both the cross country and softball team throughout her high school career.  In the off season, she played AAU basketball for the Maine React Team.

"Trinity is a leader on and off the floor," adds on Coach Walker. She was a two-year captain on the hardwood, 2020 Class President, National Honor Society President, and National Art Honor Society (NAHS) Vice President as well as a National Science Honor Society (NSHS) Personal Relations Officer. She does countless hours of volunteer work, a Friends of Rachel (FOR) member, and her favorite part of playing for EHS is helping with the middle school girls and their travel teams.

Trinity plans to major in Biology at Husson University starting in the Fall of 2020.
