SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - For the second time this season, sophomore Sydney Allen was awarded a spot on the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Honor Roll after an impressive performance in the NAC Championship Tournament this past weekend.
Sydney Allen, Husson University (So. | Forward | Corinth, Maine.) - In an explosive performance against NVU-Lyndon, Allen recorded a career-high 29 points to help the Eagles capture a 74-61 NAC Semifinal victory. She shot 10-for-13 (76.9%) from the floor including four buckets from downtown. The sophomore added another team-high on the scoreboard in the NAC Championship, 70-60, victory over UMaine-Farmington on Saturday as she netted 17 points. Between the two games, she tallied 46 points, eight rebounds, and four assists as the Eagles won their fifth-straight NAC Title to advance to the NCAA DIII Women's Basketball Tournament. Sydney Allen was also named the NAC Tournament MVP for her first time.
