INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — The NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Committee announced the field of 64 teams for the 2020 championship in a selection show on Monday.
Husson University Women's Basketball will return to the NCAA National Championship tournament for the fifth-consecutive year after winning their fifth-consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC) championship. The Eagles (19-8) will compete against the host team of SUNY New Paltz (24-3) this Friday, March 6th in first-round action. This marks the first time in program history that the Eagles will face the Hawks. The winner will advance to the second round, also on the New Paltz campus, and face the winner of DeSales (23-4) versus Smith (24-4) on Saturday, March 7th. Game times and ticket information will be made available this week.
Sixteen first and second-round sites will conduct games March 6-7. Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional sites March 13-14. Winners of the four sectional sites will advance to the national semifinals and final March 20-21, which will be conducted at Capital Center Performance Arena on the campus of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, hosted by Capital University and the Greater Columbus Sports Commission.
