    CASTINE, Maine – A strong performance from the five starters helped the Husson women’s basketball team (8-7, 5-0 NAC) overpower, 57-48, the Maine Maritime Academy Mariners (12-4, 4-1 NAC) on Friday evening as the Eagles remain undefeated in the North Atlantic Conference.

    BANGOR, Maine - For the second time in her rookie campaign, Bailey Donovan swept Rookie of the Week honors for the North Atlantic Conference (NAC), New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA), and the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) following an impressive single week performance. Her teammate, Sydney Allen, was also recognized by the MWBCA for her shooting percentage on the court by being named to the Honor Roll. From the men's basketball squad, Scott Lewis earned a spot on the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Rookie Honor Roll for the second time this season.

Husson fell to the #2 Bowdoin Polar Bears (12-0) by the final score of, 91-50, at Morrell Gymnasium on Tuesday night in non-conference action.

    NAPLES, Fla. - The Husson University women’s basketball team (4-5) outscored Hamline University (6-3), 25-17, in the final frame but Husson couldn’t complete the comeback as the Pipers defeated the Eagles, 61-53, in the Naples Shootout at The Community School of Naples on Sunday night.

    BANGOR, Maine - For the first time in her career, sophomore Sydney Allen was named Co-Player of the Week by the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) following an impressive single game performance last week. Joining her in the weekly release from the MWBCA, first-year Bailey Donovan earned a spot on the Honor Roll while men's basketball sophomore Brett Cunningham also grabbed a spot on a weekly honor roll, but for the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA).

    BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University women’s basketball team outscored the Hornets of Northern Vermont University of Lyndon, 22-8, in the second quarter as they pulled away from a slow start en route to a 61-40 victory in their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener on Saturday afternoon at Newman Gymnasium. With the win, the Eagles improve to 2-4 on the season and 1-0 in conference play while their Vermont conference foes fall to 1-5 and 0-1 in the conference.

The Eagles opened up their season facing a nationally ranked team in the WBCA Preseason Coaches Poll as they competed in the Emmanuel College Tip-Off Classic at the Jean Yawkey Center.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Four-time defending conference champions, Husson University was picked to win their fifth-consecutive title in the 2019-20 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll. The Eagles received six first-place votes for a total of 62 points. Last year's runner-up Maine Maritime Academy received the remaining two first-place votes and 58 points in a repeat prediction.
