  • It's a Great Day to be an Eagle as Softball Achieves Their Third Florida Sweep

    KISSIMMEE, Fla. -The Husson Eagles finished out spring break strong with a five-game win streak against several formidable opponents as they return to Bangor, Maine with an 8-4 non-conference record. In the first matchup of the day on Friday, the Eagles defeated Westminster College (Pa.) (5-5) by a score of 5-2, followed by an 8-6 victory over UMass Dartmouth (6-4) to end their Florida road trip in stride.
  • Softball Picks Up Another Pair of Wins on Spring Break

    KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Eagles opened up Thursday afternoon with a long extra inning game extending two extra innings until Husson softball (6-4) outscored the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg (3-5) by one run in the ninth to snatch the 9-8 win. Husson followed up this victory with a sweep on the day in a much shorter five inning game against Delaware Valley University (2-4) with an 8-0 shutout.

    CLERMONT, Fla. - The Husson University (4-4) softball team earn a split on day six of their Florida trip, falling to Amherst College (5-0), 8-5, in game one before shutting out The Catholic University of America (2-6), 5-0, in game two at the Hancock Recreational Complex.

    KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Husson University softball team (1-3) opened up their second day of spring break going into extra innings against Kean University (7-1) before falling 2-1. The Eagles saw yet another one-point game in the afternoon as they battled back-and-forth with Marietta College (2-0) with a tie advancing into the 7th inning before the Pioneers took the Eagles, 12-11.  
  • Smith's Grand Slam Helps Softball Grab Their First Doubleheader Sweep

    LEESBURG, Fla. -Olivia Smith stepped up her game at the plate on Monday, smashing her first career grand slam to help Husson University softball (3-3) take a 12-0 win over Finlandia University (1-8). Smith along with Tamara Aunchman, drove yet another ball over the fence against Westfield State University (0-3) for their first doubleheader sweep as they outscored the Owls, 9-5, at Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex at the 2019 Spring Games Tournament.
  • Softball Finishes Day One at The Spring Games with a Split

    MINNEOLA and CLERMONT, Fla. - The Husson Eagles (1-1) earned a seven-run victory against the Sage Gators (0-3), in game one of their season opening doubleheader. After a huge sixth inning crunch-time rally, the Husson softball team evened the score at threes before falling behind, 4-3, to Washington & Jefferson College (1-0) in the second game of opening day of the HU 2019 season. 
  • Softball Favored to Earn Program's Ninth NAC Title in Last 11 Years in 2019

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Husson received four first-place votes and 45 points to claim the top spot in the 2019 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) softball preseason poll. Thomas received two first-place votes and 42 points to finish second, and UMaine-Presque Isle grabbed the remaining first-place vote and 33 points to round out the top three. Favorited

    BANGOR, Maine - Our next top moment of the athletic season took place on April 21st as Jen Jones (Acton, Maine) took the spotlight on senior day and no hit the Castleton Spartans. Jones threw ten strikeouts as the Eagles won the game by the final score of 1-0. She threw the 17th no hitter in Husson softball history and the first one since 2015.
