Men's Cross Country Finishes Third at NAC Preview Meet

LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Competing against all of their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) rivals, the Husson men's cross country team finished the 6K NAC Preview Meet at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon with an average time of 25:09.7 to take third out of eight total teams. 

Picking up where they left off last season, Joel Bond and Zach Hartman continued to pace the Eagles as they both maintained a steady speed ahead of the pack for top-ten finishes. Sophomore Bond strode across the finish line not even a step behind the third-place runner to take fourth with a time of 23:16.2 while averaging a 6:14 mile. Junior Hartman finished with a 6:26 paced mile as he took sixth place out of 83 total competitors for a final time of 24:06.2. 

Achieving top-20 times, freshman Voldivain Mboma hit the 24:46.4 mark on the clock for 14th and sophomore Reece Rodrigue ran a time of 25:21.6.

Wrapping up the scorers for Husson, Ricky Smith took 33rd place with a 28:18.2 time. 

The Eagles will prepare to host their lone meet of the season inviting several teams to Saxl Park for the Husson Harrier Invitational on Saturday, September 14th.
