    NEW ORLEANS, La. - Both the Husson University women's and men's cross country teams were named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2019 NCAA Division III All-Academic Teams. The women achieved this spotlight for the eighth-straight season while the men earned a spot on the All-Academic Team for the fourth-consecutive year and fifth time overall.

    The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) is proud to announce that 177 student athletes representing twelve institutions and seven sports have been named to the Fall 2019 All-Academic Team. This marks the most student athletes to receive All-Academic Team honors since the fall of 2017.
  • Bond Sets School Records at NCAA DIII New England Regional Championship

    BRUNSWICK, Maine – Continuing to see improvements each year, the Eagles jumped one place higher this season to 39th to earn their best finish at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship in program history. Husson posted the third-best finish out of all North Atlantic Conference (NAC) schools competing as the Eagles took on 53 other teams including over 380 runners.

    LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Matching the pre-championship coaches poll prediction, the Husson men’s cross country squad took a fourth-place finish at the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship hosted by Northern Vermont University-Lyndon on Saturday morning. Seeing one runner break top-five, All-NAC First Team Joel Bond cruised in as the fifth person to cross the finish line with a time of 30:12.8 to help lead the Eagles to a team score of 108.

  • Eagles Take Second at Thomas Invitational

    WATERVILLE, Maine – Competing in their final race before the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship, the Eagles took a short trip to Thomas College for a head-to-head meet with the Terriers. The Husson men came in second with 30 points, just four points behind Thomas’ top-five as they took on a 5K course for the first time since the opening meet of the season in Boston.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - For the third time this season, first-year Payton Goodwin has been commended by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) for her athletic prowess by being named Rookie of the Week for women's cross country. Fellow classmate Voldivain Mboma received the same rookie title by the NAC for the first time in his career to help Husson complete the sweep of NAC Rookie of the Weeks for cross country.

    WATERVILLE, Maine – Taking on many top competitors in the state of Maine, Husson men’s cross country ran to a 9th-place finish out of 13 total teams attending the Maine State Championship this weekend hosted by Colby College.

Payton Goowdin also achieved her second NAC Rookie of the Week recognition this season while sweeping the women's cross country awards by also being named the NAC Runner of the Week.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - After cross country hosted the Husson Harrier Invitational this past weekend, Joel Bond was the lone Eagle to earn a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) weekly award as he was announced the Runner of the Week following an impressive 8K time. 
  • Men's Squad Wins Husson Harrier Invitational Behind Bond's First-Place Time

    BANGOR, Maine – Beating out 41 other runners, sophomore Joel Bond crushed the 8K at Saxl Park to win his first Husson Harrier Invitational with a time of 25:51.1, crossing the finish line over 60 seconds ahead of the next runner. In just three meets so far this season, Bond has come out on top in two out of the three. Three Eagles grabbed top-five times to help secure first place against four other teams on their home course.

    LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Competing against all of their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) rivals, the Husson men’s cross country team finished the 6K NAC Preview Meet at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon with an average time of 25:09.7 to take third out of eight total teams. 
  • Joel Bond Takes First Place at 9th Annual Fens Classic

    BOSTON, Mass. - For the first time in his career as an Eagle, Joel Bond dashed across the finish line before all other runners winning his first men's cross country race at the 9th Annual Fens Classic hosted by Emmanuel College. Bond completed the 5k in 17:10 just three seconds ahead of the second place runner and his first time running the Boston course.
