    BANGOR, Maine - After working as the throws coach and strength and conditioning coach for both the indoor and outdoor men's and women's track & field programs over the past two years, Frank Fazzino will be entering his third year at Husson University as the associate head coach for six programs. He will continue working primarily with the throwers in all four track & field programs, but Fazzino will also enter into a new role working with the men's and women's cross country teams as the associate head coach alongside head coach Kate Goupee.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine – Battling against seven nationally ranked teams and 58 teams overall, the Husson men’s cross country team embraced the dismal weather and powered through it, finishing out their season with their best placing in program history, taking home 40th at the NCAA DIII Northeast Regional Championship.
  • Hartman, Bond and Smith All Earn All-Conference Honors

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Husson sophomore Zach Hartman, and freshmen Joel Bond and Ricky Smith collected All-Conference honors by virtue of their top-15 finishes in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men’s Cross Country Championship, which was held at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast, hosted by Maine Maritime Academy, on Sunday, October 28th. Hartman also garnered NAC All-Sportsmanship Team honors to round out a program record of four honorees.

    BELFAST, Maine --The Husson University Eagles claimed the 2018 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Cross Country Championship on Sunday, October 28, capturing their first conference title in program history after being ranked to finish sixth in the pre-championship poll. The Eagles’ previous best finish at a championship was last season when they finished in fifth.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Two cross country runners achieved North Atlantic Conference (NAC) weekly awards this past week after crossing borders to compete at the RSEQ AUS Interlock Meet in Canada. Lindsey Joliat earned Husson's first Runner of the Week award this season and Joel Bond captured Husson's first weekly award for men's cross country being named the Rookie of the Week.
  • Men's Cross Country Performs Well at RSEQ AUS Interlock Meet

    FREDERICTON, New Brunswick – Making their annual trek to Canada, the men’s cross country team once again competed in the RSEQ AUS Interlock Meet taking on two nationally ranked Canadian teams and ten opposing teams overall. Finishing out the meet in 11th with 307 points, the men shaved off over two minutes from their team average time at the event last year going from 32:52 to 30:24 in the 8k with two returners scoring for the Eagles and three freshmen.

    BANGOR, Maine - Husson University head cross country and track & field coach Kate Goupee is pleased to announce the addition of Kerwin Whitney to her coaching staff. Whitney will serve as the assistant coach for the men’s & women’s cross country team and the sprints & jumps coach for the men’s & women’s indoor and outdoor track & field teams.
  • Men's Cross Country Competes at Maine State Championship

    BRUNSWICK, Maine – Competing against 18 other schools for a total of 223 runners, the Husson men’s cross country team sprinted to a 16th place finish with 436 points at the Maine State Championship on Saturday. This meet marked the first 8k that many of the Eagles had ever ran in competition while facing numerous nationally ranked competitors.

    BELFAST, Maine - Husson men’s cross country was just barely knocked out of second place by Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday afternoon at the Mariner Invitational as both teams finished tied with 55 points.

    KEENE, N.H. – Taking his sophomore year in stride, Zach Hartman continued to lead the Eagles on the course as the Husson men’s cross country team kicked off their 2018 season in Keene, N.H. at the Keene State College Rust Buster. The Eagles took 3rd out of four schools with two top-ten finishes in the 5k.

    BANGOR, Maine - Husson head coaches and players will hold their annual media day for all ten fall sports (Football, Field Hockey, Women's Tennis, Men's & Women's Cross Country, Men's & Women's Golf, Women's Volleyball and Men's & Women's Soccer) on Wednesday, August 29th, from 12-1 p.m. inside the D. Bruce MacGregor Sports Hall of Fame Room located in William P. Newman Athletic Facility.

    BANGOR, Maine - The first top moment of the 2017-18 season is freshman Zach Hartman becoming the first cross country runner in program history to be named to the All-Conference team. His 10th place finish in the North Atlantic Conference Championship earned him a spot on the Second Team.
