BANGOR, Maine - Head Coach Kate Goupee and the Husson University men's cross country program has released their schedule for the upcoming 2017 season.
Kicking off their season, the Eagles will venture down to Boston, Mass. to compete in the Fens Classic for the second consecutive year, on Saturday, September 2nd.
Husson will then host the Fifth Annual Husson Harrier Invitational at Saxl Park in Bangor on Saturday, Sept. 9th. This race will feature teams from several different conferences.
The following weekend (Sept. 16th) the Eagles will travel up to Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada for the second year in a row to race in the RSEQ AUS Interlock Meet.
The cross country team will return to competition on Saturday, Sept. 30th when they travel down I95 to Brunswick, ME for the Bowdoin Invitational.
The full squad will have two weeks to rest up before coming back into action for the Maine State Championship on Saturday, October 14th where all the DIII State of Maine teams will compete against each other to determine the best team in the Pine Tree State.
Following another two weekends of rest, Husson will travel to Maine-Farmington to race in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship on Sunday, October 29th.
The Eagles will wrap-up their season at the 2017 NCAA DIII Northeast Regional at Narragansett Elementary School in Gorham, Maine hosted by Southern Maine. This meet is a NCAA qualifier.
