  • Husson Athletics Congratulates Frank Fazzino on his New Coaching Role

    BANGOR, Maine - After working as the throws coach and strength and conditioning coach for both the indoor and outdoor men's and women's track & field programs over the past two years, Frank Fazzino will be entering his third year at Husson University as the associate head coach for six programs. He will continue working primarily with the throwers in all four track & field programs, but Fazzino will also enter into a new role working with the men's and women's cross country teams as the associate head coach alongside head coach Kate Goupee.
  • 35 Eagles Land a Spot on the 2018-19 NAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team

    WATERVILLE, Maine - The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) is proud to announce that 138 student-athletes have earned a spot on the 2018-19 Winter and Spring All-Academic Team. Husson athletics landed 35 student-athletes on the NAC All-Academic Squad this year. 
  • 12 Male T&F Student-Athletes Grab NAC All-Conference Honors

    WATERVILLE, Maine - North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Track & Field programs competed in a multi-conference championship event Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 on the campus of Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) also participated. Each conference crowned their own Men's and Women's Team Champions. An overall Combined Team Champion for each gender was awarded for the team that accumulated the most points across all three conferences. SUNY Delhi won both titles for men and women.
  • Wortman Sets Six PR's in Decathlon to Lead Husson at New England DIII Championship

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Cayd Wortman became the first Eagle in program history to finish as the runner-up in an event at the New England Division III Championship, representing Husson outdoor track & field. Competing in the decathlon for just the second time in his career after his qualifying performance earlier in the season, Wortman set six personal records in ten events to help Husson bring home a 22nd spot with 10 points out of over 40 men’s outdoor track & field teams competing at Williams College.

  • Men's Outdoor Track & Field Take Second at 2019 NAC Championship

    WESTON, Mass. – Claiming second place at the 2019 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship with ease, the Husson men’s outdoor track & field squad earned 209 points altogether, just 23 points behind SUNY Delhi winning the meet. The Eagles also captured second in the inter-conference meet held at Regis College this past weekend, competing against schools from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). 
  • Husson Men Tabbed as Favorite in 2019 Outdoor Track & Field Pre-Championship Poll

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Husson received four first-place votes and a total of 46 points to edge SUNY Delhi by one point for the top spot in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Track and Field pre-championship coaches poll. The Broncos received the remaining three first-place votes for a total of 45 points and second place.

    WATERVILLE, Maine – Out of nine teams that scored, the Husson men’s outdoor track & field team took fourth overall with a total of 50 points by the end of a long day at the Thomas (Maine) Small School Invitational hosted by Colby College.

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – After a long day at Southern New Hampshire University, the Husson men’s outdoor track & field team came out on top taking seventh place as a team after competing against over 35 other teams at the 2nd Annual Penman Relays on Saturday. 
  • Wortman Becomes First Eagle to Compete in a Decathlon and Qualifies for New England DIII Championship

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Becoming the first Eagle to ever compete in a decathlon, Cayd Wortman set a new milestone at Southern Connecticut State University, as he also became the first track & field student athlete to qualify for the New England Division III Championship in the decathlon. The sophomore accumulated 5,700 points to earn ninth place out of 20 competitors from all three division levels at the Northeast Combined Events Challenge. He posted the third best overall performance out of DIII participants and is now ranked 15th in the country after his first go at the ten-event challenge.  
  • Eagles Bring Home Commanding First Place Triumph from the Regis Spring Classic

    WESTON, Mass. – Running everyone off the track, the Husson men dominated at the Regis Spring Classic on Friday, accumulating a whopping 211 points competing against ten other teams. By the end of the meet, the Eagles had secured ten event wins with two Eagles qualifying for the New England Division III Championship in the same event. 
  • Men's T&F Shines Against Elite Competitors at the University of Miami

    MIAMI, Fla. – The Eagles invaded the home of the Hurricanes on Friday and Saturday as they finished off their spring break road trip in Florida competing against several Division I opponents in a non-scoring meet hosted by the University of Miami. Three student-athletes on the men’s outdoor track & field squad placed in the top ten at the Hurricane Invitational.

Bruce MacGregor Sports Hall of Fame Room located in William P. Newman Athletic Facility.
