NEW ORLEANS, La. - Freshman Dominic Laptiste was one of the many recipients this week when the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its annual list of All-Region honorees for the 2018-19 indoor track & field season.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After a long weekend, the Husson men’s track & field team broke multiple school records and saw one Eagle achieve All-New England accolades at the New England Division III Championship hosted by MIT. The men concluded the meet tied for 18th.
BANGOR, Maine – The Husson men’s indoor track & field squad will be sending six Eagles to the New England Division III Championship this weekend at MIT in Cambridge, Mass. The meet will commence on Friday, February 22nd with events continuing through Saturday, February 23rd.
ORONO, Maine – Competing against several Division I student-athletes at the University of Maine in a non-scoring meet, the Husson men had at least one Eagle finish in the top six in every single event on the track and in the field on Sunday afternoon.
GORHAM, Maine – The Husson men’s indoor track & field team performed well overall, traveling to compete at the Southern Maine Invitational II for the second time this season. The men grabbed fifth place out ten total teams/clubs including multiple NCAA Division II schools.
LEWISTON, Maine – Sophomore Cayd Wortman set new standards for the Husson men’s indoor track & field program, at the Bates Invitational on Friday night and Saturday, as the first male Eagle to ever compete in a heptathlon. Competing in a combination of seven track and field events, Wortman helped Husson bring home fourth place while even taking on DII Franklin Pierce along with several other DIII schools.
BRUNSWICK, Maine – Competing against several impressive track & field programs, including two top-10 ranked teams in New England last season, the Husson men’s squad finished out the day at the Bowdoin Invitational with fourth place (46 points). The Eagles were only three points shy of tying Wheaton College (Mass.) for third.
GORHAM, Maine – In just the first meet of the season, despite being a non-scoring event, the Husson men’s indoor track & field team already have three men who qualified for the Division III New England Championship in three different events. There were 15 different Eagles who placed in the top-seven in numerous events at the Southern Maine Invitational #1 on Saturday afternoon.
BANGOR, Maine - Husson University head cross country and track & field coach Kate Goupee is pleased to announce the addition of Kerwin Whitney to her coaching staff. Whitney will serve as the assistant coach for the men’s & women’s cross country team and the sprints & jumps coach for the men’s & women’s indoor and outdoor track & field teams.
BANGOR, Maine - Eric Hathaway is up next on the 2017-18 Top Moments list. After sending five men to compete against 27 other teams at the New England Division III Championship at Middlebury College, Eric Hathaway scored Husson's only points with his impressive toss in shot put.
