Men's Soccer Celebrates 2018 Season

BANGOR, Maine - The Husson men's soccer squad held their annual end-of-season banquet this past week as they celebrated their 2018 season and passed out awards voted on by the players and coaches, in addition to awards issued by the North Atlantic Conference.

The awards that were handed out include:

Team MVP

This award is presented to the student-athlete who demonstrates outstanding leadership and superior play throughout the season.

~Senior Rod Ghanayem~

Stacey DeCastro Hall of Fame Award

This award goes to the junior or senior student-athlete who has demonstrated outstanding play and dedication throughout his entire athletic career at Husson.

~Senior Dylan Bryce~

Most Improved Player of the Year

This award is presented to the student-athlete who has shown significant improvement during the season and has had an impact on the team's performance.

~Senior Paxton Oversmith~

Coaches Award

This award is presented to the student-athlete whose inspiration and enthusiasm has contributed to the success of the team.

~Freshman Bryce Hayman~

John P. Boucher 12th Player Award

This award goes to the student-athlete who unselfishly has contributed to the success of the team in a supporting role. His play off the bench raised the team's level of play.

~Sophomore Rafael Paganoni~

Newcomer of the Year

This award goes to the student-athlete who made the greatest impact on team performance and demonstrated individual performance improvement throughout their first year of participation.

~Freshmen Ali Essallamy and Gerard Arias Huerta~

 

The men's soccer team finished their season making it to the NAC Semifinal Championship with an overall record of 8-9-3 and 5-1-1 in the conference.
