Top Moments of 2018-19: Matt Martin Becomes Men's Lacrosse All-Time Saves Leader

BANGOR, Maine - On his final game day in a Husson uniform, senior men's lacrosse player Matt Martin became the all-time career saves leader as he stopped his 512th shot with 3:46 remaining in the third quarter against Maine Maritime Academy on April 23rd. 

Martin held his post protecting the net as the Eagles took the Mariners into overtime in their final game of the regular season. By the end of the night he accumulated 14 saves for a whopping 514 career saves tally to finsh his Eagle career as the record holder. 

The goaltender wasn't the only Eagle to hit a career milestone in his final college game, Blane Miller also became the fifth player in program history to dish 50 career assists as he passed off the ball to teammate Jaden Wells in the second quarter.
