WATERVILLE, Maine – The 2018 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Lacrosse postseason awards have been released and five Husson University players have been honored.
Brooks Gay claims First Team honors for the first time in his career, after registering 21 goal and 20 assists while picking up 49 ground balls and causing six turnovers in his final season in a HU uniform.
A four-year member of the Husson men's lacrosse program, Gay will leave the program ranked fifth in career goals (75) and sixth in career points (114).
Brandon Bosse claims his first All-Conference honor after being named to the All-NAC Second Team. The senior registered 24 goals and 17 assists for 41 total points with 38 ground balls and seven caused turnovers while appearing in 13 games.
Earning his third career ALL-NAC selection, Zach Glazier was named to the Second Team. In the 13 games he played, Glazier scored 21 goals and dished out nine assists while also picking up 33 ground balls and causing 11 turnovers.
Chad Merrill earns Second Team All-NAC honors for the first time after tallying three goals and two assists for five total points with 74 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers while playing in 12 games.
Matt Martin, another Eagle on the Second Team, appeared 11 times in net for Husson. He saved 161 shots (56.9%) while winning four games. Martin saw his season high 23 saves come at St. Joseph's (Maine).
Martin also earned a spot on the Sportsmanship Team. The Eagles' coaching staff and teammates made it known that they think Martin embodies what a student athlete should model on and off the court.
