BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University men's lacrosse program is taking part in a nationwide fundraiser in a partnership with the HEADstrong Foundation in an effort to find a cure for all blood cancers.
The HEADstrong Foundation was founded by Nicholas Colleluori, a former lacrosse player at Hofstra University, when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2005. After a 14 month battle with the cancer, Nick passed but his foundation carries on in an effort to end this horrific disease.
Members of the program will be growing mustaches during the month of November in support and in an effort to spread the word about their fundraising efforts. If you would like to contribute to the foundation, please click here.
