BANGOR, Maine - The Husson men's golf program is excited to announce the commitment of New England native, Jack King. He'll be joining the Eagles after competing for the Lake Region High School Rangers as a multi-sport student-athlete in Orleans, Vt.
"I am excited to work with Jack this coming season. He brings the intensity that we look for in multiple sport athletes," comments head men's golf coach Mike Dugas. "There is no doubt that Jack's golf accolades and accomplishments have just begun. Watching him develop as a Husson Eagle will be very rewarding!"
Jack helped his team to two top-three State Championship finishes his freshman and sophomore years. Individually, Jack earned himself a seventh-place finish in Division II his junior year, and followed that up with a third-place finish his senior year to help him qualify for the New England Championship for his first time. Jack's senior season at Lake Region High School was his best, as he won two major events throughout the season. While residing in Barton, Vt., Jack also competed in the Northern Junior Championship at Great River Country Club in Milford, Conn.
A two-sport Fall athlete, Jack could also be found splitting his time between the golf course and the soccer field.
