  • Gavin Dugas Earns Spot on Division III PING Northeast Region Team

    NORMAN, Okla. – Division III PING All-Region honorees have been announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). A total of 98 players across six regions - Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Great Lakes, Central and West - earned all-region honors for 2019. For Husson, senior Gavin Dugas was recognized on the Northeast Team for his second-straight season. 
  • Clow and Morang Named DIII Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars

    NORMAN, Okla. – Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars for Division III have been announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically and compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke average under 79.0 in Division III and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
  • Men's Golf Concludes 2018-19 Season in Kentucky at NCAA DIII National Championship

    NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. -  After two rounds at Keene Trace Golf Club in the 2019 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf National Championship, the Husson men’s golf team will not be continuing into the next round after carding a 327 the first day and finishing their second round of play on Wednesday morning with an immensely improved 309. The Eagles bowed out of competition in a two-way tie for 30th out of 42 teams. 
  • Men's Golf Set for Twelfth NCAA Appearance in the Last Thirteen Years

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Division III Men's Golf Committee has announced the teams and individuals selected to participate in the 2019 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships and the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) will be represented by Husson University for the 12th time in the last 13 years. The Eagles received an automatic bid to the national tournament after claiming the program's 14th NAC Championship Title in the last 16 years this past fall and the program's 27th National Tournament appearance.
  • Men's Golf Program Announces First 2019-20 Commitment

    BANGOR, Maine -The Husson University men's golf team and Head Coach Mike Dugas have announced their first commitment of the 2019-20 school year. Cade Charron from Topsham, Maine will be joining the Eagles for the upcoming season upon his graduation from Mt. Ararat High School.

    DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Husson University men's golf team finished out their final competition before the NCAA Championships in May at the 2019 Lafrance Hospitality Invitational at Allendale Country Club. In the second day of the tournament, the Eagles improved imensely dropping 14 strokes to move up from fifth place to second place.

    CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. – The Husson men's golf team held a cumulative score of 899, tying for fourth with Stevenson University in the Scarlet Consolation bracket at the 48th Annual Camp Lejeune Championship.
  • Men's Golf Opens Spring Schedule with Match Play Victory over Illinois College

    LAKE SUZY, Fla. – The Husson men's golf team opened up their spring season under the hot sun in Florida at the Kingsway Country Club as the Eagles faced Illinois College with match play scoring and took home the win with five Eagles coming out on top. Seven student-athletes competed for each team on Saturday.

    WATERBURY, Vt. - Husson held an 11-stroke advantage after the opening day of play and never looked back, as the Eagles claimed their 14th North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Golf Championship title in the last 16 years with a two-day total of 619 in the 36-hole event at the Country Club of Vermont.
  • Men's Golf Leads After Day One of the 2018 NAC Championship

    WATERBURY, Vt. - The opening round of the 2018 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men’s Golf Championship was held on Saturday under chilly conditions at the Country Club of Vermont in Waterbury, Vt. Only nine of the eleven schools finished in the first round of the Championship due to daylight. Thomas College and SUNY Canton are scheduled to finish their first round on Sunday morning before round two of the championship gets underway.
  • Golf Facility Officially Open on Husson Campus

    BANGOR, Maine - Husson University has an exciting new addition to the campus with the first-ever outdoor golf practice facility on a college campus in the State of Maine. The facility is a 3000 square foot putting green with nine hole locations. There will be a chance for players to work on pitching to the green, their putting skills, and shooting out of a bunker.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Earning 120 points and 10 first place votes in the prechampionship poll, Husson is poised to earn their 14th North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Golf Championship title in 16 years, and fourth in a row. Salem State (94) is selected to repeat as runner up, followed by UMaine-Farmington in third (74) and Maine Maritime Academy just behind in fourth place with 73 points and the final first place vote.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Two male student-athletes were awarded North Atlantic Conference (NAC) weekly honors this past week. Senior Gavin Dugas accomplished his third straight Golfer of the Week award while senior Dylan Bryce captured men's soccer Player of the Week.

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - After capturing the program's 18th Maine Intercollegiate Golf Association title last weekend, the Husson men's golf team trekked down to Williamstown, Mass. to play in the 2018 Williams College Fall Invitational at the Taconic Golf Club. The Eagles who shot a team score of 305 on day one, moved up four spots on day two to take the runner-up honors with a 605 (305-300).

  • Men's Golf Sets Numerous School and Tournament Records on their way to Back-to-Back MEGIA Titles

    BANGOR, Maine - After finishing day one in second place at the 44th Annual Maine Intercollegiate Golf Association (MEIGA) Championship, the Husson men's golf team shot a program low team score of 278 (six strokes under par) on day two to jump up to first place and capture the program's 18th MEIGA Crown at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course. The Eagles destroyed all competition on day two, finishing 11 strokes ahead of the second best team score in the entire championship, while competing against ten other schools.
  • Men's Golf Sits in Second After Day One of 44th Annual MEIGA Championship

    BANGOR, Maine - Gavin Dugas shot a 71 and finished tied for second to lead the defending Eagles on day one of the 44th Annual Maine Intercollegiate Golf Association (MEIGA) Championship at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course. Husson finished the day in second place with a score of 296.

    BANGOR, Maine - Husson head coaches and players will hold their annual media day for all ten fall sports (Football, Field Hockey, Women's Tennis, Men's & Women's Cross Country, Men's & Women's Golf, Women's Volleyball and Men's & Women's Soccer) on Wednesday, August 29th, from 12-1 p.m. inside the D. Bruce MacGregor Sports Hall of Fame Room located in William P. Newman Athletic Facility.
