    WATERVILLE, Maine - The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) is proud to announce the 2019-2020 Winter/Spring All-Academic Team. Husson athletics saw 42 Eagles earn a spot on the All-Academic squad this year.

  • Eagles Add NYC Guard to Recruiting Class

    BANGOR, Maine - Husson men's basketball has added 5-9 guard, Jeremy Moronta, from Brooklyn, N.Y. to the 2020-21 squad.  Moronta led Transit Tech Career and Technical Education High School to a 20-4 record this past season.  Transit Tech is coached by Ken Hafford who is from Presque Isle, Maine.

    BANGOR, Maine - The Husson men's basketball team continues to build their recruiting class with Maine recruits. Hermon High School standout Isaac Varney (6-4, forward) committed to the Eagles.  Varney, a four-year starter for coach Mark Reed, was a key part of the 2018 Class B State Championship team.  
  • Maine Standout Parker DePrey Commits to Husson

    BANGOR, Maine - Husson University men's basketball received a commitment from 6-2 guard, Parker DePrey, from Caribou. He played for head coach Kyle Corrigan. DePrey led Caribou to back-to-back Class B State Championships.

    BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University men's basketball team received their first official commitment of the year from 6-8 center, Cam Wood.  Wood is a 2019 graduate of Winthrop High School and played this past season at the University of Southern Maine.

    FARMINGTON, Maine -Junior forward Joseph Werner earned MVP honors on the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the event on Saturday, February 29th. SUNY Canton also placed junior Danny Santana and sophomore George Nehma on the team. UMaine-Farmington was represented by sophomores Jack Kane and NAC Player of the Year Terion Moss. First-year Scott Lewis of Husson, and senior Te'Von Hines of UMaine-Presque Isle were also selected to the All-Tournament team.

    The #3 Husson University men’s basketball team’s second half comeback bid was not enough to overcome the #2 SUNY Canton Roos (15-11), as they fell 89-81at Dearborn Gymnasium in the North Atlantic Conference semifinal match-up.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - The Husson men's basketball program saw two players - Justice Kendall and Justin Thompson - land on the All-NAC Second Team after the 2019-20 regular season action concluded, and Bruce St. Peter was named to the Sportsmanship Team.

    BANGOR, Maine - First-year Bailey Donovan continues to impress, sweeping back-to-back Rookie of the Week honors from two associations. She earned Co-Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row from New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) and her seventh-straight and tenth overall Rookie of the Week spotlight from the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA). Fellow first-year, Scott Lewis, achieved his fifth Honor Roll recognition from the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) while DJ Bussey was selected to the MMBCWA Honor Roll for his first time this season.
  • Men's Basketball Advances to NAC Semifinals as Caruso Earns His 500th Career Victory

    BANGOR, Maine - After splitting, 1-1, in conference action earlier this season with nearly identical opposing scores, the Eagles (12-14) and Badgers (7-19) battled point-for-point on Saturday afternoon in Newman Gym. In the final five minutes of the game, the Husson men’s basketball team pushed ahead to secure the 70-61 North Atlantic Conference Quarterfinal win. With the victory, Husson head men’s basketball coach Warren Caruso achieved his 500th career victory.

  • Donovan and Lewis Sweep Final NAC Rookie of the Week of the 2019-20 Season

    WATERVILLE, Maine - For the final time in their rookie campaigns, both Bailey Donovan and Scott Lewis were named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week. This marks Donovan's tenth and final NAC Rookie of the Week of the 2019-20 season and Lewis' second.
  • Husson Men's Basketball Set to Host Quarterfinal Game as No. 3 Seed

    WATERVILLE, Maine - The University of Maine at Farmington Men's Basketball Team claimed the #1 seed for the 2020 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship Tournament. The Beavers (21-4 overall, 13-1 NAC) receive a bye for the first round and will host the final four next weekend, February 28-29. SUNY Canton (14-11, 10-4) earned the second seed and will also advance straight to the semifinal round.

    BANGOR, Maine  - Adding on to her slew of weekly accolades, Bailey Donovan stood out among all New England players this past week to be recognized as Co-Rookie of the Week by the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA). She also impressed the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) as she grabbed her sixth-straight and ninth overall Rookie of the Week honor. Another standout first-year basketball player for Husson, Scott Lewis was recognized yet again by the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) with a spot on the Honor Roll. 
  • Men's Basketball Picks Up Senior Night Victory Over Maine Maritime, 75-49

    DJ Bussey recorded the first double-double of his career as the Husson men’s basketball team (11-14, 8-6 NAC) soared to a 75-49 victory over the Maine Maritime Mariners (4-21, 2-12 NAC) on Tuesday night in their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) regulat season finale. Prior to the contest, the Eagles honored senior captain Bruce St. Peter for his contributions to the program over the last four years.
  • Eagles Battle Back to 82-74 Triumph Over Thomas in NAC Action

    Despite a fifteen point deficit in the first half, the Husson University men’s basketball team (10-14, 7-6 NAC) battled back to defeat the Thomas College Terriers (14-10, 8-5 NAC) by a score of 82-74 on Saturday night. The Eagles honored Bryan Jefferson’s #00 jersey prior to the North Atlantic Conference showdown.

    BANGOR, Maine - After landing on the Honor Roll for the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) several times in his rookie campaign,  Scott Lewis achieved his first Rookie of the Week recognition. Teammate, Justice Kendall, was acknowdleged on the MMBCWA Honor Roll, respectively. For the women, Bailey Donovan swiped her fifth-straight and eighth overall Rookie of the Week honor from the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA).

    LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – After trailing by one with six seconds left in regulation, Scott Lewis sunk a pair of free throws to push the Husson University men’s basketball team (9-13, 6-5 NAC) into winning position as they finished out the clock for a 99-98 victory over the Northern Vermont University-Lyndon Hornets (5-17, 2-9 NAC) on Sunday afternoon.

    JOHNSON, Vt. – The Badgers remained a couple steps ahead of the Eagles on Saturday evening as the Husson University men’s basketball team (8-13, 5-5 NAC) fell behind, 85-70, to the Northern Vermont University-Johnson team (5-16, 3-6 NAC) in North Atlantic Conference action.

    LYNDONVILLE, Vt. - The Husson men’s and women’s basketball games scheduled for Friday, February 7th at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon have moved to Sunday, February 9th due to a winter storm. The North Atlantic Conference doubleheader will tip-off with the women’s game at 12:00 p.m. and the men’s game following at 2:00 p.m.

THE MWBCA also recognized Emma Alley to the Honor Roll for her first time this season. Derek Collin on the Husson men's basketball team, was mentioned on the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Honor Roll for the second time in his rookie season.
