LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Husson men's basketball team (6-4) dropped their first game as they competed in the Classic out in Las Vegas against North Central College of Illinois (11-1) by the final score of 93-51.

The Cardinals came to play on Thursday afternoon, shooting 5-6 from behind the 3-point arc in the opening five minutes as they immediately broke off to a 21-8 start. Husson's Isiah Hart began narrowing the gap within ten points (21-10) off a three of his own just seconds later, but the Eagles couldn't quite hold on as North Central extended their lead to 48-26 to close out the first half.

Off the bench, Brett Cunningham contributed 11 points in the second half, but his efforts weren't enough to catch up with the Cardinals as the Eagles came up short.

EAGLES Leaders:

Brett Cunningham lit up netting 16 points for his third double-digit game of his rookie year.

Justin Thompson grabbed six boards and three assists.

Isiah Hart contributed eight points off the bench.

With one of the only double-doubles of the afternoon, Matt Cappelletti dominated with nine 3-pointers for 35 points and 16 rebounds.

Aaron Jones added on 18 points.

Connor Raridon posted the second double-double between 11 assists and ten points.
