    GILBERT, Ariz. — This year, 321 student-athletes have been recognized as Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction. This year, for the first time in program history, four Eagles were acknowledged for their academic excellence.

The Husson women's field hockey squad repeats as a Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team for the ninth consecutive season.
  • Six Husson Field Hockey Players Achieve a Spot on the 2019 NECC Fall Academic All-Conference Team

    MANSFIELD, Mass. - A total of 205 student-athletes have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference team for the 2019 Fall semester, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning. Six Husson field hockey players were recognized for their acadmic excellence this past Fall; including, Kayla Brooks, Lauren Grocholl, Ryley Newcomb, Mikenzie Parker, Shannon Ripley, and Karen Stemm.

    BANGOR, Maine - Husson University Director of Athletics Frank Pergolizzi is pleased to announce the appointment of alumnus and current Head Softball Coach Diann Ramsey '11, as the eighth head field hockey coach in program history. With this new position, she will now be wearing three hats for the HU Athletic Department as she also serves as the Director of Compliance.

    MANSFIELD, Mass. –  The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) announced its 2019 Field Hockey All-Conference team and major award winners on Friday afternoon. The awards were voted on by the conference's eight coaches following the conclusion of the regular season. Seven of the eight conference schools are represented on the two all-conference teams, with newcomer Manhattanville College leading the way with six selections, as well as the Player of the Year Award. Husson University and UMaine-Farmington nabbed the remaining major awards as the Eagles were honored with NECC Goalkeeper of the Year awarded to Kimmie Goddard and head coach Sabrina Smith was named NECC Coach of the Year.

    BANGOR, Maine - The Husson Eagles (7-11) fell in overtime to the New England College Pilgrims (10-9) in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Quarterfinals on Saturday at the Dr. John W. Winkin Sports Complex. The final score was 2-1.
  • No. 4 Seeded Husson Field Hockey Set to Host NECC Quarterfinal Game

    MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Husson University field hockey team earned the No. 4 seed in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Field Hockey Championship, after finishing in a three-way tie for the third seed with Maine-Farmington and New England College. Each team posted a 4-3 record in conference play. Maine-Farmington secured the No. 3 seed by virtue of the strength of schedule tiebreaker. The Eagles earned the No. 4 seed,  as they beat No. 5 New England College in their head-to-head match-up.

    BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University Eagles field hockey team (7-9, 4-3 NECC) fell to the Thomas College Terriers (12-6, 6-1 NECC) in a double overtime thriller that showcased both teams' defensive tenacity and grit; losing the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) contest 0-1 on Tuesday evening.

    BANGOR, Maine – In a heartbreaking double overtime New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) matchup, the Husson University field hockey team (7-8, 4-2 NECC) gave up the only goal of the game in the final seconds before coming down to penalty strokes, against the Manhattanville College Valiants (15-3, 7-0 NECC) on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - The Husson University Eagles (6-7-0, 3-1-0 NAC) battled the #18 Colby Mules (9-5-0, 4-5-0 NESCAC) in their final non-conference match of the season under the lights on Thursday night. Despite scoring first, the Eagles ultimately fell to the Mules, 2-1.

    FARMINGTON, Maine - University of Maine-Farmington scored two goals in the second half as the Beavers (3-10, 3-1 NECC) defeated the Husson University field hockey team (5-5, 2-1 NECC) by a final score of 2-0 at Prescott Field in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action on Tuesday afternoon.

    CHICOPEE, Mass. - Senior captain Kolby Kain scored what proved to be the game winning goal in the 57th minute of the match to lead the Eagles (5-4, 2-0 NECC) to a 3-1 victory over the Elms College Blazers (3-10, 0-2 NECC) on Saturday night. 
  • Terriers Outlast Husson Field Hockey in Overtime, 4-3

    WATERVILLE, Maine - After Thomas College (Maine) took Husson field hockey to overtime in their most recent matchup, with the Eagles coming out on top in the NECC/NAC Championship back in 2018; this time the Eagles took the Terriers to overtime and Thomas field hockey was victorious. Strong offensive efforts helped Husson tie the score late in the 3rd quarter and send the game into overtime, before dropping the match to Thomas just four minutes into overtime.

Winkin Sports Complex in Husson field hockey's home opener.
