Bangor, ME – For the final home football game of the 2013 season the Husson University Cheerleaders hosted 45 youth cheerleaders to help them on the sidelines!
This is the second annual Youth Cheerleader Day for Husson’s cheer team. Last year the hosted five youth cheerleaders and this year the number multiplied to 45.
The youth cheerleaders joined the Eagles for two practices prior to appearing on the sidelines, donned Eagle gear on the sidelines, and assisted in cheers.
Along with the youth cheerleaders the Husson Eagles were excited to host a number of proud parents who snapped photos and took video of the team.
“Developing our youth program is a fantastic way for our teams to share their spirit with the greater community," said Head Cheer Coach Buffie McCue, "The opportunity to work with this age group is a true delight and we look forward to developing the program further in the future.”
Youth Cheer Day even earned local recognition as it was featured on WABI Channel 5 News and on their website.
