Welcome Recruits/Quick Facts

Husson University offers twenty-two varsity sports programs and two spirit teams, and is a member of the NCAA Division III, North Atlantic Conference (NAC), Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football), Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC), and New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). The Eagles compete among many top-ranked teams and long-time local rivals during the teams’ respective regular seasons and consistently advance into conference and NCAA tournament play.

Husson is dedicated to the NCAA DIII philosophy of making athletics an integral part of the educational experience and creating an opportunity for student-athletes to become well-rounded individuals. Husson Athletics also places an emphasis on the primary tenets of the NAC: Excellence, Integrity, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

The NAC includes institutions from Maine, New York, and Vermont: Cazenovia College (N.Y.), Maine Maritime Academy (Maine), Northern Vermont University-Johnson (Vt.), Northern Vermont University-Lyndon (Vt.), State University of New York at Canton (N.Y.), State University of New Yourk at Cobleskill (N.Y.), State University of New York at Delhi (N.Y.), State University of New York Polytechnic Institute (N.Y.), Thomas College (Maine), University of Maine at Farmington (Maine), and University of Maine at Presque Isle (Maine), in addition to Husson University.

In all, seventeen of Husson's athletic programs participate in the NAC. The fall NAC sports include: men’s and women’s cross country, men's golf, men’s and women’s soccer, women's volleyball, and women's tennis. Both men’s and women’s basketball and men's and women's swimming & diving compete in the NAC for winter sports. The spring NAC sports include: baseball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men's and women's outdoor track & field, and softball. The remaining sports include: football as a member of the CCC Football, women's golf as a member of the NWGC, and field hockey as an associate member of the NECC.

Currently, Husson's women's and men's indoor track & field teams do not have a conference affiliation.
