  • Donovan Sweeps Back-to-Back Rookie Weekly Honors; Lewis Earns Recognition from MMBCWA

    BANGOR, Maine - First-year Bailey Donovan performed a Rookie of the Week sweep in back-to-back weeks as she captured North Atlantic Conference (NAC), New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA), and the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Rookie of the Week honors. For his second consecutive week and third this season, Scott Lewis was recognized on the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Rookie Honor Roll.

    BANGOR, Maine - For the second time in her rookie campaign, Bailey Donovan swept Rookie of the Week honors for the North Atlantic Conference (NAC), New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA), and the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) following an impressive single week performance. Her teammate, Sydney Allen, was also recognized by the MWBCA for her shooting percentage on the court by being named to the Honor Roll. From the men's basketball squad, Scott Lewis earned a spot on the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Rookie Honor Roll for the second time this season.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - For the fifth time this season, first-year Bailey Donovan was named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week while fellow Husson basketball player and classmate, Scott Lewis, earned his first NAC Rookie of the Week honor.

    BANGOR, Maine - For the first time in her career, sophomore Sydney Allen was named Co-Player of the Week by the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) following an impressive single game performance last week. Joining her in the weekly release from the MWBCA, first-year Bailey Donovan earned a spot on the Honor Roll while men's basketball sophomore Brett Cunningham also grabbed a spot on a weekly honor roll, but for the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA).

They will be honored at the 2019 Husson University Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on December 6th, 2019 at the Anah Shrine in Bangor.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - For the third time this season, first-year Payton Goodwin has been commended by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) for her athletic prowess by being named Rookie of the Week for women's cross country. Fellow classmate Voldivain Mboma received the same rookie title by the NAC for the first time in his career to help Husson complete the sweep of NAC Rookie of the Weeks for cross country.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - For the first time this season, Husson women's tennis player Ashley Matlock earned North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week in the final NAC weekly awards of the season for tennis. First-year Chris Kauppila was named NAC Men's Golfer Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row this season.

Payton Goowdin also achieved her second NAC Rookie of the Week recognition this season while sweeping the women's cross country awards by also being named the NAC Runner of the Week.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - For the first time in her career, Natalie Tilton was named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week after helping sweep three teams this past week in women's tennis. Chris Kauppila also had a career-first after earning NAC Rookie of the Week for leading the Eagles at the Williams Fall Invitational.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Following a busy weekend for both the Husson women's volleyball team at home and the women's tennis team on the road, Hanna Hembrow grabbed her first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Defensive Player of the Week for her overall outstanding performance in four matches and Jocelyn Bell achieved Player of the Week for the first time in her career after helping shut down two conference opponents.

    BANGOR, Maine - An avid sprinter, junior Leah Desjardins became the first female indoor track & field runner at Husson University to earn All-New England honors after representing the squad as the only individual competitor to qualify for the New England Division III Championship for the women's team. 
  • Top Moments of 2018-19: Cayd Wortman Sets Records at New England DIII Championships

    BANGOR, Maine - Men's outdoor and indoor track & field competitor Cayd Wortman had a history making sophomore year as he became the first male Eagle to ever compete in the heptathlon and decathlon. His performance in both events resulted in multiple program records being left behind in his dust as he qualified for the New England Division III Championship in the heptathlon for indoor and decathlon for outdoor.
