  • Nine Swim & Dive Student-Athletes Receive GNAC Academic All-Conference Acknowledgement

    WINTHROP, Mass. - With a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher, a total of 1,030 student-athletes have been named to the 2018-19 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.
  • Husson Athletics Lead NAC in DIII Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup with 113th Place in 2018-19

    CLEVELAND, Ohio - Husson University athletics posted their second best score in program history in the Division III Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup following the completion of the 2018-19 school year. Between six Husson teams earning points, the Eagles ranked 113th overall with 168.50 points. 
  • 11 Eagles Earn NEISDA Spring All-Academic Recognition

    WESTON, Mass. - The New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) is pleased to announce the 2018-2019 Spring All-Academic Team. Our 22 member women's teams and 16 member men's teams take pride in the academic achievements of our student-athletes. Three men were recognized from the Husson swim & dive program while eight Husson women were selected to the team out of 182 total student-athletes achieving All-Academic honors. 
  • Husson Athletics Congratulates Frank Fazzino on his New Coaching Role

    BANGOR, Maine - After working as the throws coach and strength and conditioning coach for both the indoor and outdoor men's and women's track & field programs over the past two years, Frank Fazzino will be entering his third year at Husson University as the associate head coach for six programs. He will continue working primarily with the throwers in all four track & field programs, but Fazzino will also enter into a new role working with the men's and women's cross country teams as the associate head coach alongside head coach Kate Goupee.

  • Track & Field Continues to Impress Picking Up Three More NAC Weekly Awards

    WATERVILLE, Maine - After earning the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Male Track Athlete of the Week last week, Cayd Wortman flipped switches and was named the NAC Male Field Athlete of the Week for his performances in his first ever decathlon. The Husson women picked up their second consecutive Female Track Athlete of the Week honor as Leah Desjardins was recognized for her achievements on the track. For the men, Dominic Laptiste was selected as the NAC Men's Track & Field Rookie of the Week for his first time.

Both Allison Kondracki and Cayd Wortman were named NAC Track Athletes of the Week while Jeff Ward was recognized as the NAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

  • Two Lacrosse Players Earn Husson's First Spring NAC Weekly Awards

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Following an exciting week for men's lacrosse with head coach Mike Craig achieving his 20th career victory to become the program's winningest coach, senior men's lacrosse player Zach Glazier also achieved a career milestone recording his 100th career goal to become just the fourth player to do so. Following his accomplishments, Glazier was awarded North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week. Women's lacrosse also had a star player in freshman Mary Cushing this past week as she fired shot of shot into the back of the net to earn the first NAC Rookie of the Week for the 2019 season.

    BANGOR, Maine - After an exciting past week for the Husson basketball program, both teams continued to be spotlighted by different associations. The Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) named Justin Martin Player of the Week for his first time this season while Brett Cunningham achieved a spot on the Honor Roll for the sixth time in his rookie year. Kenzie Worcester was recognized on the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Honor Roll for the fourth time in her senior season.

    BANGOR, Maine - Both the Husson women's and men's basketball teams earned a first round bye in the 2019 NAC Tournaments as the women finished out the regular season as the top seed and the men advanced into playoffs as the No. 2 seed.

    BANGOR, Maine - Husson head coaches and players will hold their annual media day for all six spring sports (Baseball, Softball, Men's & Women's Lacrosse, and Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field) on Tuesday, February 26th, from 12-1 p.m. ET inside the D. Bruce MacGregor Sports Hall of Fame Room located in William P. Newman Athletic Facility.

    BANGOR, Maine - The Maine Basketball Hall of Fame has announced that Becky Moholland Ireland '96 and Mike Bouchard have been selected as part of its 2019 induction class. They are two of 24 inductees announced on February 6th.

    BANGOR, Maine - Earning his first ever North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week honor, Justin Thompson posted an impressive week, helping Husson defeat the No. 1 ranked team in the conference, UMaine-Farmington. Kenzie Worcester also picked up her seventh NAC Player of the Week as the Eagles remained undefeated in the NAC, 13-0. Thompson also achieved a spot on the Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Honor Roll along with teammate Brett Cunningham. Then Worcester was also named to the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Honor Roll with teammate Vanessa Duarte.

    BANGOR, Maine - Husson women's basketball saw three players achieve spots on three different association honor rolls. Kenzie Worcester was given a nod on both the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Honor Roll and the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Honor Roll for the fourth time this season while teammate, Vanessa Duarte, joined Worcester on the MWBCA Honor Roll. The Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) gave a nod to Justin Martin with a spot on the honor roll for his seventh time in his senior campaign.

SAAC is supporting the "Seize the Awkward" campaign which highlights the importance of mental health awareness with college students, by encouraging them to reach out to their friends and "Seize the Awkwardness" that might come with talking about mental health.

    BANGOR, Maine - Justin Martin was named to the Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Honor Roll for the seventh time this season while Justice Kendall saw his first recogniztion to the MMBCWA Honor Roll for his achievements on the hard wood this past week. For women's basketball, Megan Peach earned a spot on the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) for the second time in her sophomore campaign.

    WESTON, Mass. - The New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) is pleased to announce the 2018 Fall All-Academic Team. The NEISDA Fall All-Academic Team recognizes swimmers or divers who have earned a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher. The team consists of 165 student-athletes from 22 member women’s teams and 16 member men’s teams.

    BANGOR, Maine - Senior guard Kenzie Worcester not only recieved North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week, but also grabbed her second Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Player of the Week mention this season and earned a spot on the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Honor Roll for the third time. Also recieving a nod for her achievements, freshman Sydney Allen was recognized on the MWBCA Honor Roll for the second-straight week. The Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) acknowledged senior Justin Martin and rookie Brett Cunningham on their weekly honor roll, both for their fifth time this season.
