Jahmal Williams has been named Husson Male Eagle of the Week for the week ending September 8th, after leading the charge on Tuesday night as the Eagles became the first team since September 2016 to score two goals against the nationally ranked #19 Saint Joseph’s College (Maine) Monks in the regular season. After falling behind early on, Williams evened the score with 43:41 on the clock, receiving a long ball from Husson goalkeeper Kyle Townsend. The junior chased down the ball as it soared over the center back’s head, taking on the final defender before smashing the ball home inside the front post. Williams kept the momentum flooding into the second half as he recorded his second goal of the night, barely one minute into the half. Unfortunately, two late goals in the final ten minutes of regulation helped the Monks secure the win. In Friday night’s home opener, Williams made immense contributions on the field to help the Eagles earn their first win of the season, 2-1, over USM.
