BREWSTER, MASS. - Daulton Wickenden (69-73) finished in first place with a two day score of 142 to lead the Eagles to a first place finish at the 2017 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship at the Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass.. Husson finished the day in first place with a score of 586 (+10).
The Eagles won the overall men's NEIGA Championship over Division II Bentley University (590). It was men's golf first ever overall championship, while it's their sixth title in program history and the first since 2010. With his first place finish of 142, Wickenden was also the overall champion, becoming the first golfer in program history to earn three All-New England honors in their collegiate career.
Gavin Dugas finished in 3rd place with a two day score of 146 (78-68). Mackenzie Clow (76-74) and Taylor Morang (75-75) each shot a 150 and finished tied for 10th place. Eric Dugas finished tied for 23rd place after shooting a 154 (81-73) to round out the scoring for the Eagles.
G. Dugas, Morgan, and Clow were also named to the All-New England squad.
This victory concludes the Eagles' first undeated fall season in eight years.
